SynQor Receives ISO-9001 Registration
Hudson, Mass - SynQor announced today that it has earned a certificate of registration for meeting all requirements of ISO 9001-1994, the International standard for Quality Sytems. This Registration, awarded by TUV Management Service, applies to SynQor's design and manufacture of high-efficiency DC-DC converters.
ISO-9001 is an international quality standard that covers a company's design, development, production, installation and servicing. ISO 9001 is the most comprehensive standard in the ISO 9000 series and is recognized world-wide as a measure of a supplier's quality processes.
"ISO-9001 is a logical step for a company that has always been committed to quality," says Martin Schlecht, SynQor CEO. "SynQor's process centered organization structure provides a solid groundwork for a smooth transition to the ISO quality standards." "Preparing for ISO registration has helped to improve our processes, and provide us with a competitive advantage", says Schlecht. "We are very pleased to have earned registration and are proud of our entire organization for reaching this goal."
SynQor began the registration process in early 2000, completing the Registration on the initial audit. As part of the process, TUV performed an on-site assessment, examination of documented procedures and a survey of the company's overall operations. To determine continued compliance with ISO 9001, TUV will periodically conduct routine surveillance audits of SynQor's operations.
SynQor's manufacturing partner Delta Electronics is also ISO-9001 certified. This ensures that every SynQor product will be universally covered by strict quality control and continuous improvement.
