Delivers up to 60A or 150W in a standard quarter-brick package
Boxborough, Mass. - Feb 1st 2005 - SynQor, Inc. announced today an expansion to its line of high current, high efficiency quarter-brick DC-DC converters to support leading edge power designs requiring high currents at low voltages in small form factors. The PowerQor™ Peta series now delivers voltages of 1.0V (60A), 1.2V (60A), 1.5V (60A) and 1.8V (60A) in addition to the previously announced 3.3V (45A).
The Peta series converters use synchronous rectification and SynQor's patented
topology to achieve extremely high efficiency, low power dissipation and greater
reliability, in a single board, open-frame package. The module's power handling
capability is such that for the 1.2V output device for example, there is no
de-rating of the maximum 60A output required even at 55掳C ambient temperature
and with no forced air cooling.
All units operate from a standard 48V input (35V to 75V) and employ the established
industry standard quarter-brick footprint, measuring 1.45" x 2.3" x 0.45", (61
x 58.4 x 11.4mm). Two different pin-out designs are offered, allowing the customer
to either follow the recently announced DOSA standard double output pin configuration
for high current Quarter Bricks, or the more traditional Single Output pin configuration
to allow for design flexibility. Control and protection features include, remote
sense, voltage trim, input UVLO, output OVP, current limit, short circuit, and
The 60A Peta series extends SynQor's award-winning line of Kilo, Mega, Giga and
Tera half-brick, quarter-brick and eighth-brick modules to offer the most extensive
choice of high-efficiency converters from 15A-100A to suit any power application.
The high current Peta quarter-brick modules are ideal for telecom and datacom
applications using distributed power architectures.
Sample and production quantities are available immediately with a stock to 8-week
lead-time. The modules are priced at $77.00 in OEM quantities. For additional
