SynQor Expands 24V Output Offering
35-75V input range suits wireless telecom applications & fan trays
Boxborough, MA - September 26th 2007 - SynQor today announces the release of the
isolated DC-DC converter. This Quarter Brick device packs up to 120W (5A) of output
power into the 1.45" x 2.3" (36.8mm x 58.4mm) DOSA standard package, and is just
0.43" (10.9mm) high in open frame format.
Operating at an efficiency of 92%, the
PQ60240QGA05 has minimal derating even in applications where there is limited
cooling available. For example, with just 200LFM (1m/s) of airflow, the device can
deliver the full rated output current up to 70°C. Reliability is a key factor
in all of SynQor's designs, and this is reflected in the Telcordia calculated MTBF
figure for the device of 2.8Mhrs.
The small size, high power density, and input and output combination of the
PQ60240QGA05 makes it particularly suitable for wireless telecom applications
including wireless data transmission equipment, fan trays, and any application where
a 24V rail is needed in a 48V environment. A baseplated option is available for
applications that require cold plate mounting.
is capable of withstanding transients on the input to 100V for 100ms, and has a
basic isolation level from input to output of 2000Vdc. Control and protection features
include remote sense, a wide output voltage trim range of -20% to +10%, input under-voltage
lockout, output OVP, current limit, short circuit protection, and thermal shutdown.
Operating temperature range is -40 to +100°C.
Sample and production quantities are available immediately with a stock to 8 week
lead-time. The modules are priced at $49.30 in OEM quantities. For additional information,
