    Position:   Product Engineer – High Reliability Center (Boxborough, Massachusetts)

    Company Description:

    Position Description:  

    Technical support for the development of new product and processes within the new product introduction (NPI) team, focused on products within the High Reliability Center. This will include support for:

     

    Development Eng: coordinating ECO implementation and verifying effectiveness, product failure analysis, statistical analysis of generated data to ensure production readiness, datasheet creation

     

    Manufacturing / Process Eng: support of new mfg / assembly processes to ensure production readiness and capabilities, determining and creating new product process flows and routings, data analysis, takt times, throughput and capacity

     

    Test Eng: data analysis of results, verifying datasheet requirements, updating test programs / limits, support build and modification of electrical and environmental test fixtures

     

    Responsibilities:

    ● Generation and coordination of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)

    ● Failure analysis of sub and completed assemblies to component level

    ● Statistical Analysis of generated data (mean, sigma, Cp, Cpk)

    ● Determination of product processes, product flow / routings, capacities

    ● Creation and modification of electrical and environmental test hardware, firmware, and software

    Education:

    ● BSEE / BSET minimum required

    Experience:

    ● 0-3 years in electrical / electronic manufacturing

    Required Skills:

    ● Fundamental knowledge of electronic components and analog circuits

    ● Ability to understand technical documents (schematic, layout, BOM, datasheet)

    ● Analysis of circuit performance and non-functioning product

    ● Experience with MS Windows and Office applications

    Position:   Technical Datasheet Coordinator (Boxborough, Massachusetts)

    Position Description:  

    Responsible for coordinating the efforts to create, document and review technical datasheets for SynQor products The candidate will be a member of the New Product Introduction (NPI) Process, and will work with Marketing and Product Evolution (PE) processes to design the datasheet templates as needed for new product lines, and make improvements to current designs. The candidate will work with technical personnel to coordinate import of data for the datasheets, insure that the completed datasheet is accurate and complete, and then coordinate the required datasheet review process

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Work with the marketing team to design datasheets for various product lines.
    • Work with the IT process to ensure proper tools are in place for the technical teams to populate datasheets with technical data.
    • Train technical personnel on the use of these tools, and provide assistance as needed.
    • Based on priorities set by the NPI Process owner or designated personnel, coordinate the completion of these datasheets in a timely manner, including the ECO process. 
    • Monitor the completeness and accuracy of the SynQor WEB site links to these datasheets.
    • Review input from all sources regarding possible datasheet errors or suggestions for improvement and coordinate the process to make corrections/ changes as necessary.

    Education:

    ● Associates Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Electronics

    Experience:

    • 0-3 years experience
    • Engineering and/or manufacturing experience is a plus.

    Required Skills:

    ● Associates Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Electronics

    ● Strong skills and knowledge using Microsoft Office applications, MS Word and Excel mastery is required

    ● Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time and work on multiple projects

    Power Electronics Design Engineer- Garland, TX USA

     

    General Responsibilities:

    Design, develop and improve state-of-the-art DC/DC converters using computer simulation and modeling tools:

     

    Specific Duties:

    • Design power electronics, control & Protection circuits
    • Perform circuit analyses including power electronics circuits and analog circuits
    • Design and lay out of multilayer PCBs (printed circuit boards)
    • Design magnetic components, multi-winding transformers and inductors

     

    Required Background and Experience Qualifications:

    • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field plus one (1) year of experience
    • In the Alternative, a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field, plus five (5) years of experience
    • A minimum of one years’ experience in each of the following areas:
      • The electronics Industry;
      • Applying circuit theory to power electronic circuits

    This position will develop and implement sales and marketing programs within a specified territory by conducting competitive analysis studies, forecasting, and collecting field intelligence data.

    Responsibilities:

    • Establish and meet/exceed individual sales goals
    • Manage and maintain all phases of the sales cycle for strategically-identified accounts
    • Assist in preparing their forecasts

    Position:     Manufacturing Process Engineer

    Position Description:  

    SynQor seeks a recent Engineering Bachelors Degree graduate for the position of Manufacturing Process Engineer responsible for providing engineering support to high volume manufacturing processes.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing and assembly process and methods to obtain maximum productivity levels
    • Identify and implement cost reductions
    • Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment
    • Instruct, help, guide, and mentor operators
    • Recommend engineering design changes as needed
    • Develop and maintain process work instructions
    • Data collection to drive continuous process improvement and root cause corrective action
    • Process control and process improvement activities

    Education:

    ● Bachelors degree in engineering (Manufacturing or Industrial)

    ● **Masters degree holders will not be considered as they are considered overqualified for this position

    Experience:

    • 0-3 years Experience with applicable course work / Co-Op experience

    Required Skills:

    Position:   Product Engineer

    Position Description:  

    The hired candidate will be a member of the NPI (New Product Introduction) team and will provide engineering support for a range of products through all phases of product development and manufacturing. The major focus will be on testing and qualifying new products and processes, supporting the transition of those products and processes into manufacturing, and then providing engineering support throughout the product lifecycle as needed. He/She will work with leadership to help establish individual and team priorities and performance requirements to meet the Company’s overall business goals and objectives.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop processes and equipment to support the NPI process
    • Assist in the coordination and management of new product introduction schedule and activities, and cross-product issues throughout the product life cycle.
    • Work closely with design, test, quality, mechanical and process engineers during all phases of product development to drive debug activities, reliability qualification and yield enhancement
    • Create and develop test methodologies while performing failure analysis of existing and new products
    • Perform statistical analysis on product as it relates to, but is not limited to, process and product yield improvement
    • Organize, prepare, finalize and maintain documentation for production use
    • Troubleshoot and improve existing equipment and methodologies
    • Analyze and troubleshoot product down to component level in a SMT based environment while determining root-cause
    • Continually look for ways to reduce the cost and timeframe of the NPI process

     

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in EE or EET required

    Experience:

    • Engineering and/or manufacturing co-op or internship experience is a plus
    • 0-3 years in electronics industry, preferably on a high–mix, high-volume production line

     

    Required Skills:

    • Working knowledge of analog and digital electronics is required; microprocessor (PIC) design and knowledge of DC-DC converters is a plus
    • Working knowledge of an appropriate high-level programming language i.e. VB, C, C++ or C#
    • Ability to analyze, test and troubleshoot to the component level
    • Good documentation practices are a must
    • Test instrumentation and data acquisition is a plus
    • Statistical process control and analysis is a plus
    • Experience and/or familiarity with EDA tools are a plus
    • Automated Test Equipment experience is a plus
